Football Training

Football, for most, is a collision sport and one of the most time demanding to prepare the body and mind for to achieve success. The sport involves quick movements that demand muscle memory, strength and power for a blast of 4-6 seconds with 25 seconds in between plays. Youth and high school players should train year-round to remain strong throughout a season that is so physically taxing.

“The best ability is availability.” I believe this was said by, Brian Dawkins, a 16 year NFL veteran and member of the National Football League’s Hall of Fame. This is true for all sports, especially football. The physicality and number of games played in a season provide fewer opportunities than any other sport. Our football workout program will allow athletes more opportunity to prove themselves at practice which lead to more opportunity in games, moving up depth charts and staying on the field.

Youth football drills and training with Donato Sports Performance’s comprehensive off-season program will not only include the training of these systems through flexibility training, core training, balance training, plyometrics training, speed training, agility training, resistance training, and sports specific conditioning, your athlete will learn what it means to become a leader on and off the field of competition.

Having experience as a player, coach, trainer, and parent; families who entrust their athletes to Donato Sports Performance should know that the well-being, and safety of their child comes first. The other crucial aspect of our football training system is the mentorship that the athletes will receive. They will learn real life skills and leadership development qualities that they will use for the rest of their lives. Becoming a stronger, faster, more capable athlete is a great short-term goal and with commitment and attendance, those goals will be accomplished.

2-5 workouts per week depending on sport and athletic calendar. This is a fully integrated sports performance off-season program which includes: Flexibility Training, Cardiorespiratory Training, Core Training, Balance Training, Plyometrics Training, Speed/Agility/Quickness Training, Multiplanar Resistance Training, and Sports Specific Conditioning. It also includes in season, total body strength maintenance, injury prevention, nutritional guidelines/trackers.
