Basketball Training

Basketball, although some may disagree, is a contact sport. Setting screens, boxing out, and taking charges demand strength and toughness. Not only does basketball require physical toughness, but mental toughness as well with the amount of endurance it takes to compete for an entire game intermixed with cutting, jumping, shuffling, acceleration, and sprinting. Every one of the before mentioned traits are are taught in our personal basketball training throughout the off season for basketball players.

Having been the Strength & Conditioning Coach of a high school basketball team that had never had a year round program, I’ve seen first-hand the make up of these players. While some of the better athletes I’ve trained based on size, a physical mentality was not there in every player. Pushing past a comfort zone was something we worked on everyday. Once my basketball players started to see results on the court, I saw their effort levels raise beyond a place they had ever thought possible. They went from a team that was 12-16 to 19-11. Completely understanding that Strength & Conditioning is just one piece of the pie that goes into a successful basketball season, it is important to develop a physical mind set on the court and a quality strength program is exactly where it should start.

Basketball workouts and training with Donato Sports Performance’s comprehensive off season program will not only include flexibility training, core training, balance training, plyometrics training, speed training, agility training, resistance training, and sports specific conditioning, your athlete will learn what it means to become a leader on and off the field of competition.

Having experience as a player, coach, trainer, and parent; families who entrust their athletes to Donato Sports Performance should know that the well-being, and safety of their child comes first. However; the most valuable aspect of our training system is the mentorship that the athletes will receive. They will learn real life skills and leadership development qualities that they will use for the rest of their lives. Becoming a stronger, faster, more capable athlete is a great short term goal and with commitment and attendance, those goals will be accomplished.

Off-Season - $1,225.00

3-4 workouts per week (depending on experience) for 12 weeks leading up to desired season. This is a fully integrated sports performance program which includes: Flexibility Training, Cardiorespiratory Training, Core Training, Balance Training, Plyometrics Training, Speed/Agility/Quickness Training, Multiplanar Resistance Training, and Sports
Specific Conditioning.
